Hello guys!
My name is Nizom Nadzir, 27 year old (young?) guy from Penang who's currently in PJ.
It all began with guitar playing for me. The reason I got into playing the guitar a few years back is not so much music as the ability to connect with people on a level, that seems to me, very magical.
I doubt you can easily talk people into tapping their feet, swaying their bodies or feeling a certain emotion in their hearts. But with a strum of the guitar you can accomplish all that within seconds...and to me, this is as close as you can get to having real superpowers!
So..seeing the real motivation behind my guitar playing, I guess it's no surprise that I ended up having a deck of cards in my hands and enjoying a whole lot from performing card tricks for family members, friends, acquaintances and occasionally, strangers.
Naturally, it wasn't always a smooth ride, there were bumps here and there, but the good news is, I benefited from the bumps greatly.
I began reading up more on magic and slowly came to realize that - there's a great deal of difference between a guy who knows how to do tricks and a magician.
I'd like to think that I have progressed quite a bit since then, but I know that I've barely scratched the surface  and that's the reason I'm here. |
