I used to be interested in ventriloquism but after reading a few books about it, I am more lost than before I read the books... With all the.... I can't really remember those terms but are there any classes on it? If so where can I go for the classes? Are they expensive?

There has only been a cursory by-the-way knida interest in juggling and ventriloquism. If there are enough takers, I will be more than willing to put together a workshop for aspiring vents.

Gather some guys and when you have a decent number, let me know.

check this out
http://www.axtell.com/vent.html
http://www.brownielocks.com/ventriloquism.html

just the basics.
however, maybe it's due to the fact that i'm bad at ventriloquism, i find it very inconvincing without the use of puppet to aid to the misdirection.

Roy is it possible to make it realistic without using puppet?

seems like now that the magic of the World Cup is over, the forum is picking up again! Smile

I was thinking that we should persaude Roy to give us a short vent demo, at the next meeting esp a demo on how vent can connect to a magic routine. That would be so cool Cool and I am sure with that, interest will soar and before you know it ... there will be a great market for a vent workshop!

What do you all think?

There is such a book! Laughing I googled and got this link

http://uncyclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Ventriloquism_for_Dummies

Ventriloquism for Dummies (now out of print) was the least successful of the famous ...For Dummies series. Publishing experts believe that its failure was due to the unintended ambiguity of its title. This ambiguity confused potential buyers and frustrated booksellers.

Reminds me of these:

A book entitled "Nothing" with a by-line that read "You will find nothing of use within/between the covers?...something like that.
It was a book with all blank pages.Confused

Then there was a promotional offer by a magician back in the day. The offer was a free book that taught you a the secret of a really expensive trick...when you purchased some other stuff. I did.

I received the stuff and the book...nice picture and title in English and excitedly turned to the pages within... it was all in Japanese.Embarassed
Didn't find it funny at that time but in retrospect it is hilarious.
